It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kalpagavalli Ramachandran, of Gainesville, Florida, on February 22, 2025. Mrs. Ramachandran was deeply loved and respected by her family, friends, and community, known for her unwavering discipline, vibrant zest for life, and commitment to lifelong learning, even into her nineties. Her presence was a true inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Born in India, Mrs. Ramachandran emigrated to the United States in the 1980s, where she lived in Atlanta and later in Gainesville. She made countless lasting connections around the world, cherished for her genuine interest in others' well-being, her loving nature, and her ever-optimistic outlook on life.
A service in her honor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, 404 N Main Street, Gainesville, FL 32601.
