Julius Charles "Chuck" Moody's Obituary
Julius Charles “Chuck” Moody, age 93 of Gainesville, FL passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. He was born April 11, 1928 in Savannah, GA to Homer and Lois Fussel Moody.
Chuck was a professional diver and loved anything that had to do with water and enjoyed fishing. Chuck once built a sailboat in his backyard.
He had a passion for flea markets and every Sunday swap meets. He had a huge knife collection and was an avid Gator fan. Anywhere he went he never met a stranger.
Chuck loved to cook, and he loved to barbeque, and everyone loved his barbeque. Chuck loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeanette; four children, Charles “Butch” Moody and wife Marilyn, Casey Moody, Marc Steven Moody and wife Laura and Chance Moody and wife Brandy; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danielle Moody-Schuck.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save the Reef Program, www.savethereef.org.
