Julieta Alfeche Lagcao's Obituary
Julieta Alfeche Lagcao, 90, of Gainesville, Florida, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, following a long illness.
Mrs. Lagcao was born in Iligan City, Philippines and came to the United States in 1993. She was a homemaker, raising her family and had worked as a teacher and a caregiver in her younger years. Mrs. Lagcao was a member of the Holy Faith Catholic Community, she loved cooking and entertaining and singing and dancing.
She is survived by her husband, Diosdado Lagcao; by five daughters, Caroline Lagcao, Christine (Robert) Benedict, Joyline (Wayne) Benham, Marlene Natividad Lagcao, and Mary Aileen Lagcao; two sons, Franklyn Lagcao and Baltazar Alain Lagcao; one sister, Corazon Orbe; three grandchildren, Holly Andrea Benedict-Grinstead, Robert Francis Benedict, III, and Mary Carla Lagcao; and by two great grandchildren, Noah Grinstead and Avianna Grinstead.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 9:30 A. M., in the Holy Faith Catholic Church, with Fr. Clyde Salitrero, celebrant. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 until 7 P. M., and any time on Wednesday until 7 P. M., at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville.
