Julia Elizabeth Shaw Guggenheimer's Obituary
Julia Elizabeth Shaw Guggenheimer, age 82 of Newberry, FL went home to the Lord Friday, January 25, 2019.
Julia was preceded in death by the love of her life, Fred, with whom she enjoyed 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Kenneth Uribe and her daughter-in-law, Carol Bass Guggenheimer. Julia is also survived by her four grandchildren, Travis (wife Christine) Guggenheimer, Tyler Guggenheimer, Matthew Uribe and Stevie Uribe (fiancé Frank Wydra), as well as two great grandchildren, Carson and Tenley Guggenheimer. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Jan Sey and Jane Milam and many other beloved extended family members and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her son, Fred Scott Guggenheimer III and her parents, Marvin LeRoy and Lois Shaw.
Julia was born in Homerville, GA on May 20, 1936. She loved to travel and Jeep out west with Fred in the summer and was the best southern cook in the world, not to mention she could “cut a jig” to old time music. She was a passionate advocate and loved all children and was known as Granny Goose.
A simple graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Forest Meadow Central, 4100 NW 39th avenue, conducted by Calvin Manker. The service will be followed by a reception at Fred and Julia’s home in Marlboro Farms in Newberry, FL
