Judy Carver Stokes' Obituary
Our beloved mom, Judy Carver Stokes, passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 81. Our mother was born in Waycross, Georgia on July 29, 1943, to the late Jesse Martin and Geraldine Ann Wimmer Carver. She was raised in High Springs, was of the Methodist faith, and graduated from Santa Fe High School. Following graduation, Judy went to work at Southern Bell in Gainesville, Florida, a career spanning 33 years, from which she retired. Judy is preceded in death by her spouse, Ray Ange.
She is survived by her three children, Kimberly Stokes (Dwight Stokes), Tammy Craig (Brad Craig) and Angela Campellone; by one sister, Linda Bird; by her six grandchildren, Candace Phillips, Zachary Gilhooly, Ryan Gilhooly, Kara Gilhooly, Devyn Amador & Isabella Amador; her eleven great grandchildren, Raiven Young, Zemira Young, Braylon Dean, Bentley Gilhooly, Gabriel Gilhooly, Alesia Gilhooly, Emma Gilhooly, Reid Gilhooly, Daryl Wilkerson, Kaia Wilkerson & Kade Gilhooly; Judy also had one great-great grandchild, Jaspar Bennett.
Judy was a loving wife, mother & grandmother, she loved spending time at her beautiful home on the Suwannee River with her spouse and her family. She loved cooking for all of us, watching cooking shows, and gardening.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 A. M., at the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in her family plot in High Springs Cemetery.
