Judith Ann Nance's Obituary
Judith Ann Nance (Avery), 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025 in Orlando, FL. Judy was born in 1947, to Edith P. Avery (Drum) and William Harrison Avery in Binghamton, New York.
In her early years, she lived in Bell, FL. She graduated from Bell High School, where she met her future husband, Albert M. Nance.
In 1965, she married her sweetheart, Albert "Al" Morgan Nance and lived in Bell and Fairbanks, FL.
Her family and friends will always remember her kind heart, and love for family and friends, her humor and good cooking. Whether she was our daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend or neighbor, she was loved and was always a child at heart.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents William and Edith Avery, son James Theodore "Ted" Nance (1 992), her husband, Albert "Al" Morgan Nance (2004), and her brothers Thomas and Robert. She is survived by her siblings Barbara May, Amy Avery, Lola Reese, and Ronnie Avery and her son Timothy (Deana), and grandchildren, Kevin, Laura and Ryan, and daughter Mary Griffin (Trevor) and grandson, Jonathan.
A memorial service will be held on December 20, 2025 at 11 AM, at Williams-Thomas Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Judy is to be interred at the nearby Fairbanks Cemetery.
