Joyce N. Gies, 77, resident of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Friday, Sept 18, 2015 at the ET York Hospice Center.
Joyce was a retired barber who was born in Pelham, Georgia and raised in Arcadia, Florida. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzler and loved her family very much. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband, Denny, of 43 years, her daughter Susan Neads and Susan's husband Dan and their three children, Jessica, Eddie, and Austin. Surviving relatives also include her sister, Sonja Daughtrey and her husband, Dave.

The family is going to hold a private service. Donations in Joyce’s name may be made to the United Way of North Central Florida, 6031 NW 1st Place, Gainesville, FL 32607.
