Joshua Kyle Tileston's Obituary
Joshua Kyle Tileston, 23, of Alachua, Florida passed away Wednesday April 5, 2017. He was born February 10, 1994 in Gainesville Florida. He was the son of James Darby Tileston and Levida (Benson) Tileston. Josh was a graduate of Santa Fe High School. While at Santa Fe he was a member of the baseball team, golf team, and was well respected by his teachers and friends. Josh loved hunting, fishing, being with his family and friends, and was one amazing carpenter. Josh was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Josh was a true blessing to everyone in his family. He was his father’s best friend, his mother’s baby, and his sister’s protector.
He was preceded in death by John (Papa-T) Tileston.
Josh leaves cherished memories to his parents; James and Levida Tileston, sisters; Lauren Tileston (Ryan Lee) and Shelby Tileston (Will Jordan), nephew, Colten Lee; grandparents, Barry Hamilton Tileston and Jim and Carol Neff; and his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Josh’s belief in treating people with love and respect has endeared him to us all. Josh’s family and friends were of great importance in all that he did. He lived his life with great passion in all that he did. His smile was infectious and his humor was one of a kind. He enjoyed listening to old country music, playing golf, and singing karaoke with his family. Josh was one of the good ones and we are all better people for having known him. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
A Celebration of Josh’s Life will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe High School Auditorium, 16213 US-441, Alachua.
