I don't know the family, I didn't know Josh but feel connected as my son is the same age and at the same place right now going through the same training. I just want to offer my heartfelt sympathies to his parents and his entire family and his friends. I simply cannot imagine the grief you must be feeling. I pray for Josh that he rests in peace and pray this his family can also find peace. I am so sad for all of you, he was much to young. God Bless you all.

Jim & Donna, we are so sorry to hear this news about Josh. We are not at all surprised to hear all the stories of how he had turned into such an outstanding young man. I still have very fond memories of coaching Josh in Little League where he had the same passion and desire to always do his best. Joshua you were my son Davids best friend in SOI.He loved you.He struggles to understand why God took you.He knows how much you loved the core and is determined to take with him all the long conversations you two had.He told us you were the nicest most humble person he has ever met.He also said you had grit and heart like no one else.I know you will forever be his angel watching over him as he continues his journey as a United States Marine.SEMPER FI.

Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for you. No parent should ever have to lose a child. Our loving Creator knows how hard this is on you. We are told at Ezekiel 18:32 “‘for I do not take any delight in the death of someone dying, is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord .” As you can see, He does not like death anymore than we do. It is not his will for us to die which is why He has given us the hope of everlasting life! (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Rev. 21:3, 4). As the God and Father of tender mercies, He wants you to find comfort in Him through prayer (2Cor 1:3).
