Joseph "Joey" Steven Evans Reichardt's Obituary
Joseph "Joey" "Joe Bird" "Babe" Steven Evans Reichardt went to be with Jesus on June 24, 2020-the day before his 35th birthday-after a most courageous and faith-filled battle with cancer.
Joey was a Gainesville native and University of Florida graduate who married his college sweetheart, Mary, and together they have three beautiful children; Jack (12), Charlotte (9) and Samuel (6). Mary and Joey spent 16 beautiful years together traveling, working and adventuring. Joey enjoyed paintball events with friends, exploring new cities around the world like NYC, Madison, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris, and playing "blob monster" with his kids every single weekend. He was an incredible athlete, and made the best french toast ever. He never met a stranger, or anyone he didn't offer to help in some way. He was often discovered sneaking off to shop for "steals" at Lowes, Goodwill and T.J. Maxx--almost always for gifts for others, and was somehow able to stay gorgeous on a diet of Culver's butter burgers, ice cream, pickles and Rips. He enjoyed working hard every day, and was an unstoppable force of faith, joy and strength.
In addition to his wife and children, Joey is survived by his parents, Jack and Carrie Reichardt, and his siblings John (Abby), Jane (Adam), Jay (Kaitlyn) and Carrieanne, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
