Joey was my (fraternity) brother and one of the first persons I met when I started college at Stetson in August 1990 as he lived across the hall from me in the Smith dormitory (“lower 9”). He was a sophomore in 1990 and we played football for Delta Sigma Phi for the next 3 years winning 3 championships together. He was always kind (though fierce to our opponents) and I was happy he was my teammate. I was broken hearted to hear the news and I pray for his soul. My deepest condolences to his family.
