As the wife of one of Joe's nephews, I was taken in to the Caswell Clan of which Joe was the patriarch. Every year a Caswell family reunion has been held in Lakeland, FL where he was born. It's always been a special event to me. Joe and other men in the family would spend hours barbecuing ribs, chicken, etc. for us to enjoy. I'm so glad I got to talk with him at the gathering that was held a couple of months ago. He was a great man and we will all miss him.
I will always have wonderful memories of Uncle Joe, thinking back when I was young when we made our yearly trip to Florida to visit so many relatives in Lakeland but mom always made sure we took a trip to Uncle Joe' during that time allowing us the kids to play with our cousins and mom spending time with her brother. He was so wonderful in so many ways, from his great sense of humor, the flirty ways he had with the ladies, always in good taste of course and was always willing to help anyone who needed his help. I am going to miss you Uncle Joe, you are one in a million.
