Jose Arce Soto's Obituary
Jose Arce Soto, 63, of Gainesville, Florida, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Arce Soto was born in Lorain, Ohio on June 25, 1957 to the late Cesario and Maria Arce Soto and had lived in Florida for most of his life, before coming to Gainesville in 2016. He had worked for many years for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center, and had most recently worked for Jan-Tech. Mr. Arce Soto was a member of The Pentecostal’s Church, and was active as a driver in the van ministry.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Arce; one daughter, Jovana (Alex) Sanchez; three sisters, Carmen Hodge, Wilma Rios and Nilsa Arce; brothers, Johnny Arce, Leonard Arce and Allen Arce and by two grandchildren, Alexia Arlene Jennell Cooper and Alex Jose Sanchez.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 P. M., at The Pentecostal’s of Gainesville, 8105 NW 23rd Avenue, with Pastor Jimmy Toney, officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior, beginning at 1:00 P. M., in the church.
