John Eric Pett's Obituary
John Eric Pett, 57, passed away on Thursday April 2, 2015 at NFRMC. John was born in Saginaw, MI to Robert James Pett and Marjorie Lonsberry. He grew up in Michigan, attending Bullock Creek High School in Midland and joined the Navy directly after graduation. During his time in the Navy, John was stationed in Pensacola, FL and developed a love for the trade of a machinist. After his time in the Navy, John returned to MI and, in 1984, married Kerry Johnson whom he always said was the best part of his life. After moving to FL, John was employed as a truck driver and enjoyed his time seeing the sites of America, but was grateful to find employment close to home at Rafferty Machine & Tool. He will always be remembered for his stories, bright smile and strong love for his family.
John is survived by his wife, Kerry Pett; three children, Michelle (Brad) Slaughter, Robert and John D. Pett; grandson, Benjamin Eric Slaughter; mother, Marjorie Arndt and her husband Bill; brothers, Robert (Vicki) and Bruce (Carol) Pett; brother-in-law, Brian (Lisa) Johnson and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father.
