John Stewart Luke's Obituary
John Stewart Luke passed away, at the age 82, on October 11, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida. He was born in Hollywood, Florida on July 6, 1942, to John Calvin Luke and Lois Hall Luke.
John proudly served in the United States Army. He was an electrician who served in the IBEW for over 40 years. He attended Countryside Baptist Church. His favorite past time was golfing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Diane; sisters, Gloria Weaver and Peggy Bell; brother, Robert Luke; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Spencer, Lynda Hilliard, Jimmy Conner, Chris Luke, Steven Weaver and many other nieces and nephews. John is preceded by his brother Herman Luke.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Countryside Baptist Church,10926 NW 39th Ave Gainesville, FL 32606, with Rev. Bill Keith officiating. Interment will follow at the Countryside Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Countryside Baptist Church.
