John Phillip Heckerman I's Obituary
John Phillip Heckerman I, age 60 of Newberry, FL passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. He was born June 12, 1953 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Raymond Otto and Marian Louise McCreary Heckerman.
Mr. Heckerman enjoyed fishing, working with wood, playing with his grandchildren and being at home with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Melonie Collins Heckerman; children, John Phillip Heckerman II and Joyce Marian Heckerman; sisters, Sheila Heckerman, Caroline Burrows, Sharon Torres, Mary Goulet and Margaret Heckerman; brothers, Raymond Heckerman and Michael Heckerman; two grandchildren, Troy Alexander Heckerman and Claire Elizabeth Morrison and 15 nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 N.W. 43rd Street, Gainesville with Fr. John Phillips as celebrant. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery 10926 N.W. 39th Ave. Gainesville. Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 N.W. 143rd Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2119 S.W. 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
