I am saddened that I just heard about Dr. Harwick's passing at my UF Health appointment today! Though I only saw him every six months, he was incredibly kind and caring and as his patient I so appreciated that.
May his memory be a blessing for those who worked with him, his patients who respected him, and his family who loved him.
I was a grateful patient of Dr. Harwick's. He was always understanding and professional.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Harwick. He was a gentleman and a great doctor. I am sure that many patients benefited from his knowledge and skill. I worked in the PACU at 17th and Chew and my colleagues and I always looked forward to his special gift of candy during the holiday season. I’m so sorry to learn of John’s passing. I could always count on him to care for my pediatric patients with ENT problems as a skilled physician and surgeon. John was a valued and trusted colleague when I had the privilege of knowing and sharing in the care of patients when I was faculty at UF. His patients thought well of him. I knew him professionally, and he was so humble, I never realized what a Renaissance man he was outside of his scrubs!
