Many happy memories of John from fourty years at Santa Fe and then more years after. He was a genuinely kind man with a lovely and quirky sense of humor. He will be missed.

John was a talented singer, singing in various choirs as a child, in musicals at Cristobal High School in the Panama Canal Zone, and the University of Florida Acapella Choir. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal folk choir for three decades and portrayed the King of Nineveh in Earle Page’s musical The Intemperate Tantrums of Jonah in the 1984.
For the past few years I have enjoyed singing in the Holy Trinity Folk Choir with John. Since I do not read music, it helps to have someone nearby who does ... I can follow by ear and John was one of the people I listened to when in doubt. His musical gifts and his droll sense of humor will be missed.

John was one of my first clients when I started my CPA practice in 1983. We developed more than a professional relationship over the 30 plus years. After John's accident in 2003, I would often pick John up and take him to lunch. His favorite place was Piccadilly Cafeteria and we were both saddened when that restaurant closed down. I will miss the many lively conversations that we had together. Joan, I mourn for your loss, as I lost my younger brother two years ago.

John was a good Santa Fe Community College friend...always had a smile and friendly to everyone he met...and will be missed.

Who was Mr. John Dumbauld? He was the son of a Navy doctor who served on the U.S.S. Marblehead and unto whose care many sailors and their families owed a debt of thanks for his care. Mr. Dumbauld was a good and humble man who was an educator at Santa Fe Community College, as well as a really great singer in the Holy Trinity Folk Choir. He was a very cheerful man, and despite his problems, he always had a smile and a joke. If there were more men like Mr. John Dumbauld on this earth, the world would be a much happier, less dangerous place. The Honor of knowing you was mine. Rest In Peace, Friend. RC
