John Alexander Avery's Obituary
John Alexander Avery, 32, lifelong resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Monday, February 13, 2023 from injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident.
John was born in Gainesville on December 5, 1990, was a graduate of Gainesville High School, Class of 2009, and had lived in Gainesville his entire life. He was an arborist/climber for Avery Tree Service. John was an outdoorsman, he loved mountain biking, jiu-jitsu, surfing and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Mark Morley.
He is survived by his mother, Ann Gretta Busseni and his father, Dean Avery, both of Gainesville; two half-brothers, Andrew and Joseph Avery; an aunt, Marion (Wayne) Morley, and a cousin, Lauren Morley, all of London, Ontario, Canada.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 9:30 A. M., at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street, Gainesville, with Fr. Jose Kulathinal, celebrant. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Humane Society of North Central Florida, 4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609.
