Kim I am very sorry to hear that your mom passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
We loved Joanne❤️ She was such a wonderful lady and a top secretary. My husband, Dr Byron Ruth (deceased) praised Joanne often. We enjoyed each other at CE parties, at our home, and other occasions. I visited her several times when she was ill, she enjoyed the pictures I had brought along.
I miss her, she was a pal.
My sincere Condolences to Joanne's family.

Joyce Ellifritt would definitely send her deepest Sympathy to Joanne's family. Sadly, she is not able to do so as Alzheimers has taken over. She lives in Ohio now with her daughter. Margarete
Joanne was such a blessing to our lives. I will never forget the moment I realized that she and Dad were meant for each other, it was not long after they started dating and she was washing dishes after dinner at our house. Dad came in from outside smiling and slipped up behind her and put his arms around her. She started giggling and asked what he had put in her pocket. He said, "A tree frog, because I like you " Joanne just laughed and laughed. I knew then they were meant to be. We will miss her.
I am saddened to read that Joanne has left us, and send my sincere sympathy to Kim and all the family. I knew Joanne from Chapter 143 CCC Legacy, and enjoyed many special times with her in the group. Most memorable are meetings held at O'leno State Park, where we would often celebrate Christmas. The work the CCC alumni did there to create a museum about the CCC history, and the CCC Worker Statue, are part of Joanne's many contributions to our community. At each meeting she and Jon would tell stories of the numerous wildlife they would see, and stories of their travels. I especially liked hearing her talk about the Fairy Penguins. May she rest in peace after a life well lived. God bless all her family. Sincerely, Kathleen Walston Pagan
