I just heard of Joan's passing. I knew Joan as a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church choir. I was the director of the choir for 6 years and she was a very faithful member. She had a very beautiful voice and smile and contributed much to the music ministry of the church. Occasionally she would bring some of her paintings to show me. I enjoyed hearing her talk about the inspiration of her work and the time she spend creating the art.
I have been out of town for 13 years so really lost track of her. But I will always remember her as a caring a faithful person.
I extend my sympathy to her family and friends
I'm glad to know that she is resting peacefully with Bunny and Doug. They were great friends.

Very sorry to learn of Joan's death through Chancel Choir of Trinity U. M. Church. Although I no longer live in Gainesville, I sang with the Choir for many years, during which time Joan was a soprano. She also was a member of the Fine Art Committee at Trinity, which provided a rotating series of exhibitions for both members and outside art groups. Her efforts provided a delightful range of paintings, photos, quilts, and even some wall sculptures.

So sorry to hear about Joan’s passing. She was a talented artist. We painted together with a small group for over 10 years. I found her a kind sweet person. I will miss seeing her in church also. My prayers to the family.
