Joan Pollard Dent, 73, of Old Town, FL, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Newberry, FL, Brother Danny Rogers and Brother Bruce Sullivan officiating. Final resting place will be Pisgah Cemetery, French Camp, MS.
Joan Pollard Dent was born May 1, 1949, to Harold Edwin (H.E.) Pollard and Irene Harris Pollard of French Camp, MS. She was a member of McCrabb Baptist Church of Old Town, Fl. She was a retired nurse from Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital, Winona, MS. She loved God, her family, and friends, and enjoyed serving her community and church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Dent; two sons, Charlie (Leslie) Williams and Don (Tanya) Williams; two daughters Lynda (Bob) Dent Ritter and Vicky Dent; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Thomas (W.T.) Pollard and Harry (Wanda) Pollard.
She was preceded in death by her parents H.E. Pollard and Irene Harris Pollard; daughter Jessie Marie Williams; son Charles “Chuck” (Jean) Dent; brothers Robert Pollard, David Pollard, and Ira Pollard.
