I knew Joan many, many years ago when she entrusted her beautiful daughter Tamara to me as her babysitter. Both Joan And Ted were great influences on me as a teenager. I remember Joan being the mother for our neighborhood. She always cared about how we were doing and regularly fed us cucumber sandwiches. She taught me how to dive and took the fear out of jumping into a pool. She was the kind hearted woman who always had time for the neighborhood kids. I loved her like she was my own, and always will.
