"Jim" James Edward Haddock's Obituary
“Jim” James Edward Haddock, age 53, of Saint Johns, Florida, passed away on August 9th. 2025.
Jim was born on July 13th, 1972 in Provo, Utah to Marsha Stevenson Haddock, and “Ed” James Edward Haddock . He lived in Bloomington, Indiana, and later the Detroit, Michigan area, before moving to Gainesville at age 9, where he developed a love for the Florida Gators. He attended Littlewood Elementary, Ft. Clark Middle School, and Buchholz High School, where he pitched for the baseball team. Before his junior year, his family moved to Jacksonville, where he graduated from Wolfson High School and played on their District Championship baseball team.
After high school, he attended Rick’s College in Idaho and later served a two-year Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998 and the University of Florida in 2000 with an MBA and Master of Health Care Administration.
While at BYU, he met and fell in love with Angela Danielle Towers, and on June 27th, 1997, they were married in Oakland, California. They share 7 beautiful children together.
Jim will be remembered for his quick wit, unique music taste, love of seafood, unwavering devotion to the Florida Gators, his faith in his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and love for his family.
Jim joins his son Evan Chandler Haddock, and is survived by his parents Marsha and Ed Haddock; his brothers Steve, Greg, and Dan Haddock; Angela Towers Haddock and their six children: Danielle Celestine (26), Kailey Ashlyn (24), Cameron James (21), Savannah Louise (16), Evangeline Hope (13), and Gracelyn Reese Haddock (11).
A funeral service to honor Jim's life, will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 1pm at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida. Burial will follow at Forest-Meadows West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to their GoFundMe in Jim’s honor, to lift some of their financial burden during this difficult time.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to friends, family, and all those who have provided support during this time of grief following Jim’s passing.
