I was saddened to hear of Ernest passing. We were in the same Williston High School graduation class of 1961. I though highly of Ernest…always a little quiet with a sense of humor… a genuine person…I taught school in Gainesville in 1965 and I would pass Ernest working…I also got a chance to talk with him during our class 20 year reunion and at that time learned about his career in law enforcement…I was so happy to know of his success.One of my best memories was at my Mom’s funeral his sister came to me and said Ernest wanted me to come in his place…
Such a generous and kind gesture. I can see he has had a wonderful career and a wonderful family….my sympathies to you all. I think the world has just lost a wonderful soul…I feel lucky to have known Ernest…An incredible citizen from the class of ‘61.
