Jerry Weldon Todd's Obituary
Jerry Weldon Todd, age 73, of Jupiter passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1943 in Palm Springs, California to Delbert “Bud” and Vivian Fowler Todd. Jerry was a US Army veteran, and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He also served in the US National Guard as a Military Police Officer. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, and was a long time police officer and retired from the Miami-Dade Police Department. He enjoyed photography, deep sea fishing, woodworking, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alachua, as well as the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his children, Scott Todd and wife Sandra, and Jason Todd and wife April; sister, JoAnn Caldwell, and six grandchildren, Charles, Jared, Nathan, Madelyn, Andrew, and Katelyn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Todd.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Alachua, 14005 NW 146 Avenue. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
