Jeffrey B. Jones' Obituary
Jeffrey B. Jones, 78, passed away at his home in High Springs, surrounded by his family on January 7, 2026. He was born to Ernest O. Jones and Josie C. Goode Jones on September 20, 1947. Jeffrey was born and raised in Gainesville where he graduated from Gainesville High School Class of 1966 where he was a member of the weightlifting team.
In 1967 he married the love of his life, June M. Holder, to this union two children were born. Jeffrey loved collecting antiques and playing cards. He enjoyed mud bogging as well. He never met a stranger and most of all loved to playfully aggravate ya! His antics will be missed.
He is preceded by his parents, sister Janet Lynn Jones, and grandson Kristofer.
Jeffrey leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, June, as well as his son Jeremy Jones and wife Amy, his daughter Janet Langford and husband Tommy, four brothers Charles Jones and (Leigh), Alfred Jones (Glenda), Winston Jones (Lajuanna), Bruce Jones (Rodney), his sister in laws Terry Ann, and Jeanine Holder, grandchildren Jordan, Morgan, Kyleigh, Chelsea, Luke, Fisher, and Logan, great grand children Eli, Avery, Camden, Skyler, and one great granddaughter on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida 32669. His family will receive friends at a visitation hour prior beginning at 4 p.m.
