I worked with Jean Griffin at Eastside for years. As her many students will attest, she was a creative and inspiring teacher who cared a great deal about everyone with whom she worked. She was also my beloved friend outside of school. Jean was great fun to be with; she had a wonderful laugh and an infectious sense of humor. She was a remarkably kind and generous person and i will miss her dearly. Condolences to the family.

Jean was my 11th grade English Teacher at Eastside, then a couple of years later, I had the privilege of working with her at EHS. Such a beautiful lady inside and out. She will be truly missed.
Mrs. Griffin was a much beloved teacher at Eastside High School. She encouraged me to express my creativity through writing, and I always make sure I tell people that. She was one of the greatest teachers I ever had the pleasure of knowing and will forever be remembered.
