Jaye (Byrd) Aline Wilson Asbell's Obituary
Jaye (Byrd) Aline Wilson Asbell went to meet her beloved Patrick and Grandmother on August 27, 2023, after a valiant fight with Lung cancer and COPD.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Ford Wilson, (Melissa) grandson Bentley, Mother. Laddie Dwyer, Brother, Byron Dwyer, and Aunt, Teresa Fischer.
Jaye was born in Jacksonville, FL. August 7,1958, she grew up in Jacksonville but spent most of her adult life in the Gainesville/Newberry area. An accomplished artist Jaye was always giving her art away instead of selling it. She said it made her feel good to see people smile and this was her way of doing that. She was a generous and loving person to so many, several people referred to her as Mamma Jaye.
She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Niece and friend as well as a talented artist and animal lover. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
