I'm very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a unique and special guy who added to the fun, challenges and education many of us experienced as graduate students around the old Fruit Crops Department. I enjoyed his presence as a student and later.
A light may have been extinguished, but good memories remain. Best wishes to you and family as you move through a new journey. Dave made a difference.
Hello there, my name is Cheena and I am writing to the family of Dr. Jay David Martsolf, Jr. I send my condolences to you all. The reason why I am writing this letter is to also share a positive message about the future. I know this time is very difficult to handle, but notice what God has for us in store. In the Bible he tells us in the future that this is something we won't have to worry about anymore. In the Bible, in the book of Revelation chapter 21 verses 3 and 4 tell us this promise. "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore. The former things have passed away." There are many more promises in the Bible that can help us all see a better future. There is also a promise for the dead.
