Janet Drosz's Obituary
Janet Drosz , 63, of Gainesville, FL died unexpectedly on January 5, 2023, in Gainesville. Janet was born in Wausau, WI on April 7, 1959, to John and Dorothy Krumanaker Drosz. She worked most of her life for the United States Department of Agriculture and rural development community facilities, processing loans and grants. She retired after 26 years of dedicated service. Janet was a devout woman of faith. She was a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church where she served as a sacristan for over 30 years. She was a good friend to others, always there to lend a helping hand or listening ear. The kindness she showed to others was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She found solace and joy with her beloved furry Siamese cat friends, Sable, Cholebelle, and Raja.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, brother John Andrew, and sister Mary Catherine
She is survived by her brother Edward (Cyndy) Krumanaker, her sister and best friend, Juliana Tran, and nieces, Tracy, Mandy, Jennifer, and Mary Kathyrine. Also surviving are many friends and her church family, all of whom will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 9:30 AM at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street, Gainesville, with Fr. Ed Murphy as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in her name to the Humane Society of North Central Florida, www.humanesocietyncfl.org
