Jamie Wayne "Farmer" Vick's Obituary
Jamie Wayne “Farmer” Vick, 46, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on January 30, 2026, in Port St. Lucie. Born on December 2, 1979, in Smithfield, North Carolina, Jamie lived a life defined by service, loyalty, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Jamie was the beloved husband of Yoshiko “Yoshi” Vick. They were married on March 29, 2014, sharing 12 years of marriage and 19 years together. He was a proud and devoted father to Justice Vick (28) of Smithfield, North Carolina; Taiki Vick (22), currently stationed in Katterbach, Germany; and Mika Vick (16) of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Becoming a father was one of Jamie’s greatest achievements and a source of healing, purpose, and pride.
Jamie proudly served in the United States Army from 1997 to 2004 with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, stationed at Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, Italy. He deployed during the initial surge following September 11, 2001, participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom, including an early air drop into Kirkuk, Northern Iraq. His service included nearly three years of foreign deployment. Jamie received numerous honors, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Driver’s Badge.
Following his military service, Jamie built meaningful careers rooted in leadership and connection. He owned and operated a pool business for several years, where customers often became lifelong friends. He later worked with Cresco Labs, managing numerous employees and earning respect for his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic.
Those who met Jamie noticed his eyes first—the brightest in the room—and quickly learned of his sharp sense of humor, loyalty, and passion for life. He showed love through action, living by the belief that if something was worth doing, it was worth doing fully.
Jamie found joy in golfing, grilling for family and friends, riding with the U.S. Military Vets MC – Treasure Coast, Jeeping, NASCAR, cheering on Tampa Bay sports teams, visiting Key West, and spending time with his French bulldogs, Loki and Luna. Above all, he treasured watching his children grow and achieve their dreams.
Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Vick; his paternal grandfather, Thomas Benjamin Vick; his maternal grandmother, Linda Beville Edwards, Paternal Grandmother Eloise Vick Parker; and other extended family members.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yoshiko “Yoshi” Vick, children Justice Vick, Taiki Vick, and Mika Vick, his mother, Lori Ann Stone (Don) of Archer, Florida; his maternal grandfather, Jackie Stephens of Hawthorne, Florida; his brother, Donald Stone of Port St. Lucie; his sister, Kimberly Stone of Port St. Lucie; and a large extended family including Uncle Rick (Michelle) Vick, Aunt Bonnie (Lonnie) Mitchell, Aunt Ann Cooke (Ken Halbrook), Uncle Ricky Edwards, Aunt Jackie (Donald) van Schuppen, cousins Les (Kacey) Stokes, Chad Edwards, Brandon Edwards, Jonathan Edwards (Laura Brannan), Nathan Vick, Eric Esser, Diann Nines, Becky Vick, Jeffrey Vick, and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, Florida 32669.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Jonesville Baptist Church, 17722 SW 15th Avenue, Newberry, Florida 32669.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jamie’s name to your local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
