Jamie Lynn Bailey's Obituary
Jamie Lynn Bailey March 2, 1985 – August 16, 2025
Jamie was born at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She was raised in Melrose and Keystone Heights, FL. Jamie attended Melrose Elementary and Keystone Heights Middle and Senior High Schools, where she graduated in 2003.
Jamie was a kind spirit with a caring heart. Jamie believed in and accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age. She attended worship services at Eliam Baptist in Melrose, The Pentecostals of Gainesville and most recently at Enotah Baptist in Hiawassee, GA. She loved her children and family. Jamie enjoyed the simple things of life. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her children and family.
Jamie was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2022. She received treatment and surgery in 2023. After which she was given an optimistic report. Then, in June of this year she learned that the cancer returned with a vengeance. She received treatment and subsequently moved to Hiawassee, GA to live with her parents.
She is survived by her parent, Edwin Carlisle Bailey and Dianna Lynn Bailey; her three children, Emily Renee Pomeroy and Kelsey Lynn Pomeroy (Twins), Chase Evan Hurst; brother, Adam Carlisle Bailey (Summer Tillis Bailey); sister, Elizabeth Nicole Wisham; nieces, Makayla Dyson, Paisely Wisham and Lorelei Bailey; nephews, Maddox Dyson (Bri Dyson), Jason Wisham and Wyatt Bailey and many cousins.
Jamie was preceded in death by her Grandparents.
“…He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” (Rev 21:4)
A gathering to honor the life of Jamie will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, FL.
