James Richard Rawson's Obituary
James Richard Rawson, age 84, of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1941, in Syracuse, New York, to George Edgar and Esther Hunter Rawson.
James proudly served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. A dedicated entrepreneur, he owned and operated several businesses throughout his life. In their younger years, James and his beloved wife Patricia shared a love for dancing. He also enjoyed boating with his children and cherished time spent with his family and liked to fish.
James is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia Rawson; his children, James Rawson II, Timothy James Rawson and his wife Carol, Thomas Edgar Rawson, and Patti Ann Swider and her husband Michael; and his six grandchildren: Tara, James, Miranda, Crystal, Timothy, Micala; great grandchildren, James, Amyiah, Cooper, Tucker, Elijah, Evanna,
