James William “Bill” Posey
James William “Bill” or “Billy” Posey, 50, of Belleview, Florida, died Saturday, February 13, 2021, following a long illness.
Mr. Posey was born in Gainesville, Florida on November 2, 1970. He has lived in the north Florida area for most of his life. Bill was a truck driver by trade, most recently for J and J Rentals from North Dakota. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Glenn Franklin Posey and by a son, James William Posey, Jr., in 1989.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marie Michelle “Ree” Posey; his mother, Miriam Posey; a daughter, Tiffany Starr Posey, of Belleview; two sons, Robert Lee Posey, of Belleview and William Kyle Posey, of Leesburg; two brothers, Glenn Franklin, Jr. (Tammy) Posey, of Summerfield and Benjamin Bruce (Merry) Posey, of Dunnellon; two sisters, Sandra Marie (Randy) Qualls, of Dunnellon and Miriam Jeanette Posey, of Henderson, NC; ten grandchildren, Taylor Glenn, Alyssalynn Marie, Morgan Allen, Chelsea Ann, Matthew Thomas, Alexa Marie, Kytana Jayde, William Paul, Cloud Michael James, and Peighton Grace.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the family’s home; contact any family member for details.
