James "Buck" Martin's Obituary
Mr. James F. “Buck” Martin, 76, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Martin was born on February 11, 1940 in Bentonia, Mississippi, to the late William and Eula Mae Martin. He lived in Mississippi, until joining the U. S. Army. Mr. Martin was employed as a construction manager, and his work moved him all around the country, living in Miami, Seattle, to name a few. Following his retirement in 1999, he settled in Gainesville. His favorite pastime was following the Ole Miss Football program, and returning to Mississippi to deer hunt.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy F. Martin, Jr.
Survivors include, his wife, Andrea Martin; a daughter Leanne Williams, of Pearl, Miss. A brother, William “Billy” Martin, of Flora, Miss; a cousin, Sonny Martin; two grandchildren, Zachary Scott Williams and Molly Rowell.
There will be no public services and Mr. Martin will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Miami.
