James T. Johnston's Obituary
James T. Johnston, 77, of Alachua, FL passed away in Gainesville, FL May 15, 2022. James was born June 17, 1944, in Albertville, AL to Stephen and Estelle Medlock Johnston. He was always known as a kind and gentle person. And he was a very hard worker. He spent most of his working life as a long-distance truck driver and later began driving various trucks for Waste Management. James married the love of his life, Suzette, and they celebrated 37 wonderful years of marriage. James enjoyed spending time outdoors, tinkering in the yard, and fishing. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
James was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzette, daughters; Larae Gillette and Patricia (Clay) Crews, and grandchildren; Scott MacKinnon, Trey Crews, Katee Crews, Kennedy Crews, and Theo Crews.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2022, at 11:00 am at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel 823 NW 143rd Street with Rev. Dr. Don McGarrity officiating.
