James H. Johnson, Sr., age 56 of Gainesville, FL passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 in Gainesville. He was born April 1, 1960 in Monticello, FL to Henry and Dorothy Frison Johnson.
He graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, FL. He loved fishing and collecting old cars.
He is survived by his son, James H. Johnson, Jr. of Palmetto, FL; sisters, Doris Brown (Randall) of Gainesville, FL, Carolyn Johnson of Lake City, FL and Marion Zorne of Lakeland, FL; brothers, Eddie Johnson of Tallahassee, FL and Austin Johnson of Lake City, FL; the mother of his son, Towanna Johnson of Palmetto, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Johnson and brother, Herman Johnson.
