I enjoyed our talks we had as I grew up. He watched many of us grow up. It was explained to me several times by him and my grandpa ( Ray Waits ) how we were kin folks btw I can't remember silly me. "There was this bear and this rabbit...." I love you Jimmie Brown, always! ABBA
Although I moved from Hawthorne over 30 years ago, I grew up knowing Jimmy. As a teenager, I worked in my father's pharmacy and I looked forward to him coming in. He always took time to talk with me, share a funny story, ask about my life, or say some kind words. My sisters, who were much younger than I, absolutely adored him! When I graduated from high school, he hand delivered a graduation card with such kind words and a very generous gift. Even as a teenager, I was so touched by his thoughtfulness and
saved the card for many years. I have thought of him fondly over the years so many times and was sad to hear of his passing. Heaven has definitely gained an angel. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones. ~ Lynell Smith Hecht
