Jacyntha Idova Reid Bailey Panton passed away on Thursday, May 19th, 2016, in Gainesville Fl. She was born on July 4th, 1947, in Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to Donald and Gladys Reid of Corby/Southfield St. Elizabeth and is survived by her mother Gladys Reid; husband Dr. Charles Panton; son Dwight (Georgia); Sisters Lesline, Grace, Yvette; brother Lance; and grandchildren Eva and Christopher Bailey. She was preceded in death by Bonnie Bailey and son Christopher Bailey. She leaves stepchildren Charles, Jason, Kurt, Yvonne; many nieces and nephews; a host of friends and relatives; and sisters and brothers in faith (New Testament Church of God, Fair Prospect, Portland, Jamaica). Jacyntha lived a life of service and kindness to others, founded on an unwavering commitment to Christ.
Her life will be celebrated at the New Testament Church of God, in Fair Prospect, Portland, Jamaica W.I. on June 11th, 2016 11AM, Viewing at 10AM. Interment and repass will be held at the family home in Long Bay, Portland. In lieu of flowers, contributions will be accepted for the church building fund c/o Dwight Bailey.
