Jack Lee Morgan's Obituary
Jack Lee Morgan, age 91 of Alachua, FL passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on August 26, 1934, in Anderson, Indiana to Clarence Edgar and Martha Angeline Dowden Morgan, Jack was one of twelve children.
Jack proudly served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He was a Jack of all trades, working for IBM, Farm Bureau, construction and real estate.
He enjoyed smoking a good cigar. He was a staunch Republican. He loved to play Euker and Crossword Puzzles, and watching college football, especially the Gators.
Jack was a wonderful husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Ruth Morgan; children, Mark Morgan, James Morgan, Scott Morgan, Glen Livingston and Donald Livingston; sisters, Judith Roberts and Janice Morgan; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Dee Finley Morgan and nine siblings, James Edward Morgan, Bernice Alberta Miller, Betty Louise Banks, Clarence Morgan, Jr., Herry Eugene Morgan, Richard Alvin Morgan, JoAnn Rider, Martha Sue Prichard and Larry Ray Morgan.
A Celebration honoring the life of Jack will be held Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel, 823 NW 143rd St. Newberry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. interment will follow in Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua.
