Jack Daniel Hoover's Obituary
Jack Daniel Hoover, age 60 of Micanopy passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. He was born October 16, 1963 in Micanopy to Cheryl Faye White.
Jack was a Project Manager for the Department of Housing at the University of Florida. He was also a member of the local IBEW 1205 for 10 years. He coached for many years in Micanopy Babe Ruth and always enjoyed helping people. He was a member of the Poor Boys Hunting Club. Jack loved his family, NASCAR, hunting, and fishing. His daughter was his absolute favorite person in the world, second to his wife.
Jack is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hoover; daughter, Brandi Humphrey(Jeff); sons, Jesse(Nicole), Chris(Brittany) and Matthew “Baby Jesus”(Noell) Hoover; brothers, Kenny and Steve Sykes; sister Bobbie Bass; grandchildren, Juli-Anna, Kenzie, Austin, Alissa, Sheldon, Adler, Judson, Evee, Dani, Kimberland, Owen, Case, Levi and Swayze Belle. And many beloved cousins and extended family friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Tonia and his grandson, Lawson “Bubbles”.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Micanopy, 709 NE 1st Street, Micanopy with Bishop Chris Stokes officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery, 11020 NW Highway 320, Micanopy.
