Iva Mary Stabel's Obituary
Iva Mary Stabel, resident of Trenton, Florida, formerly of Davie, Florida, passed away on June 16, 2018, at the age of 98 years.
Iva was born to Harry and Thelez Bretz on October 18, 1919 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She married Albert Stabel on June 25, 1938, and together they had four children. She worked as a receptionist at Marek Brothers Construction in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After retiring and moving north to the Trenton area, she volunteered at Shands Hospital as a Pink Lady which she enjoyed very much.
Iva will be sadly missed by her children, JoAnn Stabel, Michael Stabel (Vicki), and Jeff Stabel (Babette); her grandchildren, Adam Stabel (Robin) and Eric Stabel (Melissa), and her great-grandchildren, Rylie, Dylan and Eli. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Al Stabel; son, Tommy, and son-in-law, J.R.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 N Main Street, Gainesville, Fl 32601. The graveside service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Park Cemetery South at 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, 1701 NE 9th Street, Gainesville, Florida, 32609, or Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center, 606 NE 7th Street, Trenton FL 32693.
