Mrs. Spence was one of my residents when I first started to work at the Village in Gainesville, FL. She was always smiling, and she loved her family and her dog, and her church family. She was always working on a new quilt or something for the church. She served God and his people faithfully. May She restvin peace. God bless you family. Irene was a close and devoted friend. The biggest thing in common for us was our love of God. We worshiped together and sang in the choir together.
She taught me so many things! Her love of quilting inspired her to teach me how to make a quilt. My children and grandchildren are grateful for that.
