Ida Margaret Hooten's Obituary
Ida Margaret Hooten passed away at the age of 89, on August 2, 2025. Born and raised in the small town of Trenton, Florida.
She worked for the phone provider AT&T until she retired. She moved to the small town of Waldo, Florida with her late husband James Robert Hooten, where they went on to own a farm, foster children, and have children of their own.
She and her husband moved to Steinhatchee, Florida and opened a small jewelry shop. In this small home town, she lived out the rest of her days and made many friends and loved ones along the way.
She was proceeded in death by Ethel Garner, Chester Garner, Nancy Sheehan, Robert Hooten, Debbie Hooten. She was a beloved mother and grandmother to Jim Hooten, Chelsey Hooten, Briar Hooten, Wyatt Hooten, James Pederson, Chase Pederson, and Jesse Hooten.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery 10969 S.E. 25th Ave. Trenton, Florida, with Mr. Ellis Dozier as officiant.
