Howard "Scotty" Reece, Jr.'s Obituary
Howard “Scotty” Reece, Jr. age 28 of Lake City, FL passed Wednesday, February 15, 2023. He was born June 11, 1994 in Morganton, North Carolina to Howard Scotty and Tracy Eileen Smith Reece.
Scotty enjoyed drinking coffee, watching marvel movies and reading DC comics. He enjoyed playing video games, especially the Legend of Zelda. He graduated in 2013 from Newberry High School where he played football and was on the weightlifting team. Scotty was also in the Academy of Criminal Justice magnet program at Newberry High School. He greatly enjoyed his job at the Columbia County Department of Corrections in Lake City.
Scotty was a Christian and on February 15, 2015 he publicly professed his faith in Christ.
Scotty is survived by his parents, Scott and Tracy Reece; his sister, Paige and her husband Justin Wooten; paternal grandmother, Betty Sue Reece; and maternal grandmother, Shelia Price Croy, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind his loyal dog Grayson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Howard Coolidge Reece and Louis Dow Smith.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Jonesville Cemetery, with Pastor Corey Cheramie officiating. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org/.
