Howard Dale Colvin's Obituary
Howard Dale Colvin, age 89 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, October
19, 2017 in E.T. York Haven Hospice. He was born July 7, 1928 in Redfield, Iowa to Albert Dale and Anna Laura Jancowski Colvin.
Following high school graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his service he began working for the United States Postal Service where he later retired. Bowling was one of his favorite activities.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Colvin.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Colvin of Gainesville, FL; children Jayne Lindsey, Rebecca Martinez, Debbie Colvin, Connie Hockney, Mia Brummer, Greg Murray; grandchildren, Jason Brummer, Nichole Vette, Gregory Murray, Christopher Murray, Robert Murray, Dawn Palsgrove, Stephanie Lindsey, Jennifer Edwards, Cynthia Colson, Robert Hartman and Timothy Hartman and 15 great grandchildren.
There will be a gathering of family and close friends Monday, October 23, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Heritage Room of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN 404 North Main Street.
