I worked with Dr. Samuels at RMC-Hospital in Lake Butler in the '90s. We worked together with the other physicians during the height of the AIDS epidemic. Dr. Samuels was actively involved in treating those very sick patients especially when there weren't too many drugs available at the time to treat the disease and the complications that went along with HIV/AIDS. He was a great, compassionate physician and mentor. Condolences to his son Max and the entire family.
