Sympathies to Herb's family. Herb and i worked together at Brooks Tropicals before and after Hurricane Andrew and remained friends after he retired. He had a good business sense and remembered the details. He met many farmers and buyers in his years in the produce business and always had a funny quip about some event with them. Herb was a caring and thoughtful man who bothered to ask about family during a visit. After Pearl passed and he moved to Gainesville; Fred and I enjoyed visiting him.
Herb and Fred passed away on the same day, July 22, 2018. Maybe they are sharing some produce stories now.
