Helen Olivia Ellefson's Obituary
Helen Olivia Ellefson, 79 of Alachua passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was born on June 16, 1942, in Hialeah, Florida to the late Joseph & Danaido (Velasco) Castellano. Helen was a resident of Florida for most of her life. Helen was a very devoted mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She had a strong & unconditional love for her family. She loved telling stories of all her kids and the funny experiences of them growing up. We would often joke about it, because she would always start off a conversation with “do you remember the time that”, and then the storytelling began whether we had heard it once or ten times.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Junior Ellefson & her granddaughter Jennifer Kogler. Survivors include her four children: Joe Cox (Angie), High Springs; Roger Cox (Patty), Gainesville; Angela Kogler, Trenton; Bruce Cox (Vincenta), Gainesville; 6 grandchildren: Chris Kogler, Kandin Kogler, Tony Cox, Isabella Martin(Matthew), Seth Cox, Hayden Cox & 4 Great Grandchildren: Damien, Samuel, Sarah & Matthew, Jr.
